The snow-kissed city of Barrie, Ontario is gearing up for the most magical time of the year, and at Modern Music Studio, we're thrilled to be your partners in creating a harmonious holiday season. As the jingle bells start to echo through the streets, we invite you to join us at our Winter Concert on Sunday, December 17th, from 2 pm to 6 pm at the Five Points Theatre in downtown Barrie. It promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, festivity, and community spirit from our incredible students.

A Diverse Musical Palette:

At Modern Music Studio, we believe in the power of music to bring people together, and our Winter Concert is a testament to that belief. This year's performance will be a delightful blend of tunes that honor the diverse array of holidays celebrated during this season. From Christmas carols that resonate with joy to classic and modern day hits that resonate with our students no matter the time of year, you’ll see performances that truly represent the musical love of each student.

As we embrace the holiday spirit, our talented students will showcase their musical prowess by performing some of the most beloved holiday classics. Expect enchanting renditions of timeless hits like "Jingle Bells," "Silent Night," and "Winter Wonderland." The concert will also feature a nod to contemporary holiday and non-holiday chart-toppers, ensuring a delightful mix that caters to every musical taste.

Honoring Legends Past and Present:

As we reflect on the festive melodies that have become an integral part of our holiday traditions, we pay homage to legendary artists who have left an indelible mark on the seasonal music landscape. From Bing Crosby's timeless crooning to Mariah Carey's modern-day classics, our Winter Concert will be a tribute to the iconic voices that have shaped the soundtrack of our holidays. Some of our students have even re-written the lyrics to their favorite songs to suit the holiday season!

A Proud Achievement:

At this time of year, we are reminded of the gratitude we have for another amazing year here at the studio. Not only did we move into our new incredible studio at 111 Toronto st., add incredible teachers like Adam Crossman, Sam Johnston, Kenny Parry, Sonny Martin and Alondra Vega to our amazing team, but we also were honored to be recognized with the Reader's Choice award for the Best Music School in Barrie for 2023, as well as Best New Business. Add to this Nathaniel Mink-Rice’s award for best music instructor and best guitar instructor in Barrie! These recognitions are a testament to our commitment to providing top-notch musical education and fostering a community of passionate and talented musicians young and old.

They work with disadvantaged youth in the area and we will partnering with them in 2024 to deliver Music lessons to children who wouldn't otherwise have access to lessons. Very exciting stuff.
